You have Claude. You have Copilot. Now what?
Copilot tips, storytelling and tools worth your time.

Lately, I feel like I’m running a support group for business professionals with too many AI tools. #stressful
Every conversation with marketing and sales managers eventually lands in the same place: “Pam, we love our Claude. But we also have Copilot. What do we do with both?”
I get it. There are also roughly 47 other AI tools your colleagues just Slacked you about. You just want to know which one to open on a Tuesday morning when you have a deck due by noon.
Honest answer: things don’t magically work together yet. You still have to build and test the workflows.
Claude is the powerhouse for thinking, writing, and building. Copilot lives inside your daily tools, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams. The teams getting the most value aren’t choosing one over the other. They’re getting clear on what each does well and building from there.
And Copilot has come a long way. Now that it runs Claude and ChatGPT as back-end LLMs, people in my training sessions are regularly surprised. The gap between “I tried it once and it was meh” and “oh, this actually works” is almost always training.
If you’re struggling (and love) with AI in general, you’re not alone, and I mean that literally, not just as a newsletter sign-off.
From Licenses to Results: Your Microsoft Copilot Training Playbook
What a Real Microsoft Copilot Training Curriculum for Sales and Marketing Actually Looks Like
Most Copilot training programs are feature tours built by IT – disconnected from how sales and marketing teams actually work. I built a different kind: 10 modules, three levels, every session hands-on, every example grounded in real campaign and pipeline work.
This post walks you through the full curriculum and why it drives 65–85% adoption within 90 days.
Why Copilot Adoption Stalls — and How to Fix It
You paid for the licenses. IT-enabled access. Someone sent the “Copilot is live” email. Six months later, adoption is stuck at 11%. Sound familiar?
The problem isn’t the tool, it’s the training. In this post, I break down exactly why enterprise Copilot rollouts stall and what role-specific, hands-on training actually looks like when it moves the needle.
My AI Journey: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
In my previous newsletter, I mentioned I’d share more about my AI journey. Well, three years in, and I’d summarize my AI learning journey in two words: potty training. Two steps forward, one step backward. If that sounds familiar, you’re on the right track.
I’ve rewired how I work, built (and rebuilt) workflows I’m proud of, spent more money on tools than I’d like to admit, and yes — dealt with that little voice asking “am I training AI to replace me?”
I don’t have a clean answer for that. But I do know this: if your AI journey feels messy right now, that means you’re actually doing it right!
Watch the short video, and tell me: what does your AI journey look like?
How to Bring Storytelling Into the Age of AI
In April, I had the chance to speak at Content Jam hosted by Andy Crestodina – a sold-out event almost every year. My topic piques curiosity with the audience: how do we bring storytelling into the age of AI?
Plot matters in business content — not just in novels. Most business content moves from point A to B to C without ever making the reader feel anything. Your outline is your plot. Make it count.
Customer pain is your drama. What’s broken or frustrating right now? If the stakes are low, nobody cares.
And please – be specific. Generic claims about your products and services don’t move pipelines. Specific ones do.
Here’s the truth most teams don’t want to hear: AI can help you write faster. It cannot make boring thinking interesting. That part is still on us – humans!
You lead, AI follows. AI doesn’t know your buyers, your internal politics, or why deals stall at legal review. You do. You’re still the domain expert.
If your team is ready to create stronger content and stories that actually move the pipeline, let’s talk.
Copilot Tips and Tricks
Most enterprise teams barely use their Microsoft Copilot licenses despite the investment. The problem isn’t the technology – it’s a lack of proper training on practical applications.
Here are three tips to get more out of it:
1. Break PowerPoint Requests into Chunks
Don’t ask Copilot to build a 30-slide deck in one shot — you’ll get generic output. Break it into steps: start with “Create an outline for 10 slides,” then “Generate content for slides 1-3 on market opportunity.” Smaller, focused requests produce far better results. You need to have a clear vision of your deck.
2. Use Loop to Kill the Email Review Cycle
Instead of emailing a Word doc and waiting two weeks to consolidate conflicting versions, create a Loop page. Your team collaborates in real time. Copilot can help draft the initial content and you modify. Use it as a living workspace for ongoing projects.
3. Give Copilot Your Audience Before You Ask for Content
Context changes everything. Instead of “Create a deck about our cost savings,” say “Create a deck for enterprise CFOs explaining cost-saving benefits.” The more Copilot knows about whom you’re talking to, the less rewriting you’ll do. Provide proper context.
