Why you must honor your lessons

PamDidner

As you read this, take a moment just for yourself.

Place your right hand on your left shoulder, give yourself a well-deserved pat, and say out loud: “You did great this year!”

This year has been one heck of a journey for many of us.

I’ve spoken to many marketers who faced challenge after challenge.

Job transitions, forced early retirements, career uncertainties.

They’ve navigated new roles filled with both excitement, stress AND sometimes tears.

Who would have thought that simply maintaining the status quo would feel like a major accomplishment?!

For me, this year was a mixture of wins and lessons. But mostly lessons.

I set out to publish my first fiction novel but decided to shelve it—it didn’t feel ready.

Instead, I shifted gears and published two approachable books on AI.

Was this a way to avoid rewriting the novel? Maybe

But it was also a reminder that progress sometimes takes a new journey than what we originally planned.

Like many of you, I’ve been exploring my next chapter, trying to find the right path forward, so far, it hasn’t unfolded as I hoped…

No matter what this year brought you—triumphs, trials, or a little bit of both—take a moment to learn from it, be grateful and cherish it.

You made it through, and that’s worth celebrating 🥳

Here it is to 2024, and let it be.

The saga continues into 2025.

We. Can. Do. This.

Cheers,
