Confession: I'm tired of AI and still working on it every day

PamDidner

I’ll be honest. I’m so tired of AI. I’m also working on AI every single day, which I know makes me a sad, sad person. šŸ˜‚Ā #aifatigue

For months, I’ve been optimizing my own website for AEO. I got that down. Now, I am working with an AI automation specialist to identify what we can automate within my company and to break down my processes to figure out how to incorporate AI that makes sense.,

OK, Long story short, to make automation work, I’m learning how to build a command center in Notion, write content in Claude, build automations in Manus, connect APIs and MCPs through n8n, and upload my skill.MD files to GitHub.

The sheer number of tools that need to talk to each other is wild. The lesson I keep coming back to is this. If you want to automate, you have to think through how things connect, how your processes need to change, and how your team will collaborate inside the new setup. Tools alone do not save you.

More on my AI automation journey in future issues. In the meantime, we all need a break from AI!

Well, before you take a break, at least finish this AI newsletter. šŸ˜‚

Copilot Tips and Tricks

Most enterprise teams barely use their Microsoft Copilot licenses despite the investment. The problem isn’t the technology – it’s a lack of proper training on practical application. Here are a few tips to get more out of it:

1. Know When to Use Web vs. Apps

Use Copilot on the web for exploration (research, brainstorming, testing prompts). Use Copilot in Microsoft 365 apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for execution, where you need your organizational context, brand templates, and actual data.

2. Use Notebooks for Multi-File Analysis

Notebooks are one of Copilot’s most powerful features. Create a new Notebook on the web, upload multiple documents (competitor websites, analyst reports, customer emails), and ask Copilot specific questions across ALL the documents at once to find patterns and insights.

3. Optimize Your PowerPoint Templates

If Copilot is struggling to build your slide decks, it’s likely because your enterprise templates use complex master slides with labeling for each slide. Work with your design team to create ā€œCopilot-optimizedā€ versions that maintain your brand while allowing AI flexibility. Simplifying your template is key!

4 AI Tools to Boost Your Productivity This Month

I’m always looking for practical tools that actually make our lives easier as marketers. Here are four fresh ones to check out:

Gumloop – An incredible AI automation platform (think Zapier meets ChatGPT) that lets you connect LLMs to your internal tools and workflows without writing code. Great for automating research, scraping, and repetitive tasks.

Claude (by Anthropic) – While not new, Claude’s recent updates (like Projects and Artifacts) make it an exceptional marketing copilot. You can create specific workspaces for different clients, upload brand guidelines, and use them to build content strategies or analyze data.

Surfer SEO – A fantastic content optimization tool that assesses your writing against top-ranking pages. It gives you real-time feedback on keyword density, structure, and readability to help your content rank better in search engines.

v0 (by Vercel) – An AI website builder and prototyping tool that lets you generate clean, professional landing page designs simply by describing what you want. It’s perfect for marketers who need to quickly mock up campaigns or landing pages without waiting on a developer.
