I always have high respect for marketers who support sales. Frankly, it’s a thankless job sometimes. LOL. I’ve been supporting sales for years – but I love it even though my sales peeps didn’t usually say “thank you.”

Over the years I know I’ve done something right when sales continuously have asked me to join their meetings or asked for my help. When you work with sales, don’t look for recognition, look for their respect.

Creating a strategy to support sales is different than creating a marketing strategy. It depends on the scope of your role and how you support them. Every sales enablement strategy and plan is different from company to company and from industry to industry.
